A couple of months ago I brought my first Golf, a neat little MK7 1.4 TSI bluemotion 7 spd DSG. I've been thinking about doing an exhaust upgrade, Id like a nicer note and a bit better performance, but I can't find much in the way of diy bolt on cat back systems options, if they even do them for this model. Like you, I don't use cruise control, but do worry that the problem will come to light when I trade the car in. Mk7 Golf BlueMotion Tech SE 1.4 TSI B9 Audi A4 1.4 TFSI VW Golf Mk7 long-term reliability? - SLO76 : I’d have the Civic here although the Golf with the belt driven 1.4 TSi motor and a manual box is about as robust as VW’s get these days. They do suffer trim and electrical problems and slave and master cylinders are known weak points. Apr 30, 2014. #7. the dealer investigation said that the noise is similar to what they find when compared to another Golf TSI SE 122 DSG. So they dont think there is any problem. When i asked , what was causing the noise, they had no answer.. I have got the written report from them and plan to take it up directly with VW via their twitter help. n469.
